5th Meeting on CAREC Climate Change Working Group

The 5^th WGCC meeting focused on low-carbon growth and on advancing countries’ capacity to access and participate in carbon markets through integrated regional cooperation. The meeting focused on the following: (i) provide a comprehensive update on the CCAP implementation to-date; (ii) share best practices and knowledge on establishing the required building blocks for carbon market readiness (iii) identify countries’ needs and gaps for carbon market readiness, (iii) develop a regional carbon market readiness plan, (iv) discuss and plan next steps for the WGCC and CCAP implementation and any other business.
