13th CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting

Sector representatives from CAREC member countries (i) reviewed the implementation progress of the CAREC Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy (TTFS) 2020, (ii) discussed the next steps to achieve deliverables of the Transport Work Plan, and (iii) considered other related matters from previous Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting and CAREC senior officials’ meetings.

Speakers updated participants on progress in trade facilitation and cross-border transport facilitation.

Representatives from CAREC countries and development partners also presented action plans for implementing the CAREC TTFS 2020.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank co-chaired the meeting.
