Forum on Trade Facilitation and Customs Reform and Modernization

The forum, cosponsored by ADB, ADB Institute, Japan Customs Administration, and the World Customs Organization (WCO), focused on the experience of Japan on customs reform, in particular, issues pertaining to customs modernization and risk management.

CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting (April 2006)

The workshop aimed to present the key findings and recommendations of the Study on Xinjiang Trade Logistics Development jointly sponsored by Asian Development Bank and the Department of Regional Economy of the National Development and Reform Commission.

Fifth CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting

The meeting discussed the potential for harmonization of regional transport regulations and cross-border agreements for roads and the railways, the potential for liberalization of the civil aviation subsector, maintenance and funding of the regional road network, and proposed infrastructure investments and technical assistance in CAREC countries.
