Fourth CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting The meeting discussed studies on the harmonization and simplification of cross-border agreements, documentation, and transport regulations in CAREC participating countries, and the potential for liberalization of the aviation sector in Central Asia.
Fourth CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee Meeting The meeting focused on deliberation on the priority areas of the CAREC's Trade Facilitation Program and discussion on the strategy to broaden the Trade Facilitation agenda.
Seminar on Trade Facilitation and One-Stop Service The seminar promoted modern customs practices and supported the joint customs control pilot project of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
First Meeting of CAREC Members Electricity Regulators Forum The meeting examined approaches, challenges, and successes in electricity regulation to support capacity development for improved regulation and regulatory support of power sector reforms in CAREC countries.
Seminar on Risk Management and Post-Entry Audit The seminar was co-sponsored by the General Administration of PRC Customs and is part of ADB's ongoing support for the Regional Trade Facilitation and Customs Cooperation Program (RTFCCP) for East and Central Asia.
Seminar on Private Sector Participation in Infrastructure in Central Asia: National and Regional Solutions The seminar was conducted in cooperation with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).

Third CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting Participants reviewed and endorsed the Regional Transport Sector Roadmap and Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting work plan for 2005. In particular, the meeting discussed and endorsed proposals for harmonization of cross-border transport procedures and documents among the CAREC member countries.
Forum on Trade Facilitation and Customs Modernization The forum, co-sponsored by ADB and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), supported the training initiatives endorsed by the Customs Cooperation Committee (CCC).
