CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting (October 2009) Senior officials reviewed inputs for the 8th Ministerial Conference. Progress reports were presented on the Implementation Action Plan for the Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy, on the Trade Policy Strategic Action Plan, and on the Energy Action Plan.
Eighth CAREC Ministerial Conference Ministers endorsed two plans to advance regional cooperation in the energy, transport, and trade sectors: the Energy Action Plan Framework and the CAREC Program Results Framework.

Workshop on National and Regional Joint Transport and Trade Facilitation Committees The workshop brought together representatives from trade, transport, and customs ministries, as well as freight forwarders associations from the CAREC counties to exchange experience related to the establishment and strengthening of national joint transport and trade facilitation committees.
Joint Dissemination Workshop on the Study of Zamyn-Uud and Erlian Border Development Program The workshop between Mongolia and the People's Republic of China (PRC) sought the views of both countries on the findings and recommendations of the study, Development of Regional Cooperation Programs for Mongolia and the PRC.
CAREC Workshop on Corridor Performance Measurement and Monitoring The seminar was held to discuss in more detail the technical issues in implementing the Time-Cost-Distance methodology and validate the ppropriateness of selected CAREC corridors.
