Greater Silk Road Initiative 2006 The goal of this umbrella regional technical assistance (RETA) is to promote regional economic cooperation in Central Asia. The RETA includes support for high-level policy and sector-related meetings among CAREC participating countries and their development partners.

Baku to Samur The proposed project will upgrade and rehabilitate a 60 km section of road, from Sumgait to Zarat, which is located on the main north–south route from Baku to Samur, which is located at the Russian border.
