CAREC Business Development Forum (July 2010)

The CAREC Business Development Forum aims to support private sector participation in regional initiatives, encourage foreign direct investment in priority infrastructure projects, and promote collaboration among private and public sector organizations in CAREC countries.

CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations Executive Board and Annual Meeting (July 2010)

The annual meeting (i) reviewed progress of the CFCFA and approved its work plan for 2010-2011, (ii) identified priority projects that will promote private sector participation in CAREC activities, and (iii) discussed priority courses for upgrading capacities of the associations.

CAREC Single Window Implementation Seminar: Azerbaijan Case Study

The seminar reviewed and discussed Azerbaijan's experience in designing, developing, and implementing its national single-window system, and considered possible approaches toward the development of a regional platform to facilitate information exchange among CAREC countries.

CAREC Energy Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting (July 2010)

Representatives from the CAREC countries, CAREC multilateral institutions and other development partners, and international energy experts participated in the meeting. The committee agreed in principle to formulate, monitor, and update a 5-year rolling program of priority CAREC energy investment and technical assistance projects.

The workshop focused on the objectives, advantages, structure, and implementation of public-private partnerships.
