Meeting on CAREC Cross-Border Transport Agreement Implementation Action Plan

Senior officials of the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan, together with representatives from Afghanistan and the Asian Development Bank will meet to (i) finalize national action plans of the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan for the implementation of the Cross-Border Transport Agreement (CBTA), and (ii) discuss possible amendments to the CBTA to extend accession to Afghanistan.

Presentations will cover various components of the national action plans, including: legal and regulatory considerations; organization, management, and systems/procedures; capacity building; infrastructure, facilities, and equipment; and institutional support.
