CAREC Consultative Meeting on Regional Joint Transport and Trade Facilitation Committee The meeting focused on the discussion of the goals, scope of work, terms of reference, organizational structure, and results framework of the regional joint transport and trade facilitation committee.
CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting (October 2009) Senior officials reviewed inputs for the 8th Ministerial Conference. Progress reports were presented on the Implementation Action Plan for the Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy, on the Trade Policy Strategic Action Plan, and on the Energy Action Plan.
Eighth CAREC Ministerial Conference Ministers endorsed two plans to advance regional cooperation in the energy, transport, and trade sectors: the Energy Action Plan Framework and the CAREC Program Results Framework.

Workshop on CAREC Corridors Performance Measurement and Monitoring and Establishment of CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations The workshop focused on approaches to improve data collection and analysis for monitoring transport and trade activities along the six CAREC transport corridors.
Eighth CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee Meeting The meeting gathered heads and deputy heads of customs administrations of the eight CAREC countries to review progress in work plan implementation and chart approaches to deepening cooperation.
