Third Seminar on World Trade Organization Accession: Managing WTO Accession Process – Strategies, Challenges, and Practices The seminar encouraged interaction among trade officials of WTO CAREC countries (People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, and Pakistan) and non-WTO CAREC countries (Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan).

Training on Customs Intelligence The Asian Development Bank and the General Administration of China Customs, through the Shanghai Customs College, will co-sponsor a training workshop on customs intelligence, covering customs information systems and e-port development.

16th CAREC Trade Policy Coordinating Committee Meeting Participants from nine CAREC countries and multilateral institution partners—Asian Development Bank, International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank—discussed recent research in the area of trade and trade policies, including on lessons learned from the recent global crisis.
