National Stakeholders Discuss Advancing the Transition to a Green Economy in Uzbekistan

On 25 May 2026, in Tashkent, national stakeholders discussed the advancing of transition to a green economy in Uzbekistan through skills development, and exchanged views on aligning education, labor, and climate policies.  Moreover, they identified priority actions to integrate green skills into technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and higher education. Also, participants are committed to moving from dialogue to implementation, including curriculum reform, institutional capacity building, and strengthened interministerial coordination. The outcomes will inform the development of a national roadmap and support broader regional cooperation under the CAREC Program.
