ADB and CAREC Institute strengthen partnership to promote sustainable transport

ADB and the CAREC Institute signed a memorandum of understanding on 21 May during the Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum to strengthen strategic cooperation in the transport sector. The partnership will support the implementation of recommendations from the midterm reviews of CAREC’s transport, trade, and digital strategies through joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and capacity building activities. Planned areas of cooperation include the establishment of a transport and logistics center at the CAREC Institute and joint contributions to the Advancing Transport Leadership Program led by the Transport Sector Office of ADB to promote sustainable and connected transport systems across the CAREC region.
