National Workshop on Efficient Cross-Border Transport

Kazakhstan government officials attended the workshop on efficient cross-border transport along the six corridors under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program.

They were introduced to the various transport facilitation models developed by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), and discussed the transport facilitation models’ potential applications in CAREC corridors linking west Europe and west People’s Republic of China.

The workshop was jointly conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan, UNESCAP, and the CAREC Institute.
