Seminar on Trade Facilitation and One-Stop Service
Co-sponsored by ADB, Thailand Customs Department, and World Customs Organization (WCO), the seminar promoted modern customs practices and supported the joint customs control pilot project of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic. It also presented modern customs tools for trade facilitation developed by WCO, and highlighted Thai Customs’efforts and experiences in customs reforms and modernization.
There were working group discussions on three topics: (i) harmonization of customs procedures and documentation (led by the People’s Republic of China), (ii) joint customs control (led by Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic), and (iii) regional transit development (led by the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan).
