CAREC Energy Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting (September 2013)

CAREC member countries and multilateral development partners, joined by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP),

  • reviewed the progress in implementing the Energy Work Plan (2013-2015) and
  • finalized the priority investment project list in preparation for the 12th CAREC Ministerial Conference.

Kazakhstan’s Industry and New Technology Vice Minister Bakhytzhan Jaxaliyev opened the meeting.

The session closed with a site visit to the Kapchagai solar power station in Almaty.
