CAREC Energy Sector Coordinating Committee 3rd Subcommittee Meeting for Pillar 1: Energy Supply/Demand Balance and Infrastructure Constraints

Participants from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan attended the 3rd Subcommittee Meeting for Pillar 1. The agenda included

  • preparations for the 10th CAREC Ministerial Conference,
  • a draft final report on the Power Sector Regional Master Plan by Fichtner Gmbh & Co.,
  • a review of initiatives of the World Bank and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on the Central Asia power sector, and
  • the medium-term priority project list for the energy sector.

The CAREC Energy Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting on 27 October 2011 was cancelled due to floods in Bangkok.
