CAREC Energy Efficiency Training Seminar
Some 50 participants from the 10 CAREC member countries, and Armenia and Georgia–composed of representatives from ministries of energy, finance and economy/planning, together with state-owned utility companies and financial institutions–joined the seminar.
Participants discussed challenges and opportunities for energy efficiency as a driver of economic growth in the region.
A site visit to the Malaysian GreenTech Corporation‘s Green Energy Office also allowed participants to observe how energy efficiency measures and green technology are integrated into concrete projects.
The seminar was sponsored by the ADB’s Energy Community of Practice, the CAREC Institute, and the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
