CAREC Corridor Performance Measurement and Monitoring Coordinators' Training
Corridor performance measurement and monitoring (CPMM) coordinators and CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations (CFCFA) member association staff were updated on the refinements and enhancements of the CPMM methodology, such as revisions to data collection procedures, report preparation, and administrative arrangements.
Participants, CFCFA member association staff in particular, were also trained to analyze the usefulness of national-level data that they collect for local associations and government agencies involved in trade facilitation.
The CPMM is a central component in implementing CAREC’s Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy and Action Plan. Detailed information on time and cost spent in transporting goods across the six CAREC corridors is gathered by vehicle drivers of each CFCFA, and helps identify constraints that hinder the smooth flow of goods within the region.
