Consultation Meeting with the CAREC National Focal Points (2017)
Tajikistan Minister of Economic Development and Trade and ADB Alternate Governor Nematullo Hikmatullozoda chaired the meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Central and West Asia Department (CWRD) Director General Sean O’ Sullivan, ADB East Asia Department (EARD) Director General Indu Bhushan, and CWRD Deputy Director General Hong Wei.
The meeting discussed (i) the new CAREC long-term strategy; (ii) preparations for the 16th CAREC Ministerial Conference to be held on 27 October in Dushanbe; and (iii) updates on sector deliverables for the 16th Ministerial Conference on CAREC, including discussions on the draft briefing paper on Sustainable Development Goals and the Joint Ministerial Statement (Dushanbe Declaration).
