CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting (September 2015)

Senior government officials of the 10 CAREC member countries and representatives of multilateral development partners gathered to discuss progress in implementing projects and initiatives under the program’s four priority sectors – transport, energy, trade facilitation, and trade policy.

Mongolia State Secretary for Finance Gantsogt Khurelbaatar chaired the meeting with assistance from the CAREC Secretariat led by Asian Development Bank (ADB) East Asia Department Director General Ayumi Konishi and ADB Central West Asia Department Deputy Director General Hong Wei.

The meeting is also in preparation for the 14th Ministerial Conference on 25 September.

The theme of this year’s ministerial conference is “Linking Connectivity with Economic Transformation in CAREC.”
