CAREC Senior Officials' Meeting (August 2001)

At the invitation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), delegations from Azerbaijan, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan met to discuss ADB’s program of support for CAREC.

More specifically, the participants discussed and confirmed (i) the priority areas ADB should concentrate on in facilitating regional cooperation, (ii) the institutional framework that would best serve implementation of the ADB program, and (iii) preparations for a Ministerial Conference scheduled 5-9 November 2001 in Urumqi, PRC.
