CAREC Pedestrian Safety Online Workshop
The workshop presented a strategic approach to managing pedestrian safety in line with the “Safe System” principles. It introduced international best practices and engineering solutions for managing vehicle speed and enhancing pedestrian safety and convenience. It demonstrated how to design urban and intercity road infrastructure for the comfort, convenience, and safety of pedestrians. Participants benefited from discussing case studies from CAREC member countries, which demonstrated challenges and success stories in implementing initiatives for improving pedestrian safety.
