CAREC Digital Corridor Feasibility Study Consultation Meeting

The CAREC Secretariat organized the CAREC Digital Corridor Consultation Meeting in Islamabad, Pakistan, on 29–30 July 2026. The two-day consultation brought together delegates from nine CAREC member countries, including senior government officials, telecommunications operators, regulators, development partners, and technical experts, to discuss the preliminary findings of the CAREC Digital Corridor Feasibility Study.

The consultation provided an important opportunity for participating countries to exchange technical and policy perspectives on regional digital connectivity, including cross-border infrastructure, data centers, regulatory cooperation, cybersecurity, and investment priorities. Member countries agreed to submit written comments on the draft feasibility study over the coming weeks, which will be reflected in the revised report ahead of its presentation at the 25th CAREC Ministerial Conference in September 2026.

The CAREC Secretariat appreciates the active participation and constructive contributions of all delegates and looks forward to continuing its collaboration with member countries and partners to advance the CAREC Digital Corridor initiative.
