7th Almaty-Bishkek Economic Corridor Subcommittee Meeting

On 16–17 February 2023, more than 50 representatives from the governments of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic met in Bishkek. CWRD DG Eugenue Zhukov joined the meeting that was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Abdrakhmanov and Vice-Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Abzal Abdikarimov. The meeting proposed new ABEC projects and reviewed ongoing reforms in connectivity, climate change and environment, disaster risk management, and tourism. Both countries recorded their agreements in a signed protocol.
