3rd Meeting of the CAREC Water Pillar Working Group
The Third Meeting of the CAREC Water Pillar Working Group will be held on 15–16 July 2026 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, bringing together designated Working Group members, member countries, and development partners to advance regional cooperation on water security, productivity, and climate resilience.
Building on earlier consultations and working group engagements, the meeting will review progress and key findings from ongoing pre-feasibility studies for regional investments and the Water–Energy Nexus Modelling work, while also presenting initial results and next steps under the “Transboundary Water Collaboration for Climate-Resilient Water Management” technical assistance. Participants will further be introduced to the Glaciers to Farms (G2F) Program and discuss the potential advisory role of the Working Group.
The agenda will include country presentations and facilitated breakout sessions to support focused, results-oriented discussions and generate actionable inputs for regional collaboration and investment planning. Overall, the meeting will serve as a platform to refine priority initiatives, strengthen coordination, and provide strategic guidance to inform the next phase of implementation under the CAREC Water Pillar.
