Xinjiang Urban Transport and Environmental Improvement
Summary
The technical assistance helped prepare the Xinjiang Urban Transport and Environmental Improvement Project, which will cover five cities - Altay, Changji, Hami, Kuitun, and Tulufan - along major transport corridor which links eastern and central China through Xinjiang to Central Asia.

The TA will
- review and identify the most appropriate urban road infrastructure developments to improve public access, facilitate trade and enterprise, reduce road accidents, and improve the urban environment;
 - prepare a feasibility study for each of the five subprojects; and
 - prepare an urban roads and environmental improvement projects, including EIAs, environmental management plan IPDPs, RPs and social analysis satisfactory to ADB's policy and guidelines.
