CAREC: Working with the Private Sector in Trade Facilitation (Phase 2)

Summary

The project will support the design, implementation and monitoring of key trade facilitation and private sector development activities under CAREC.

Expected Outcome

The project will strengthen the management of CAREC Corridors and  improve trade efficiency in the whole CAREC region, contributing to economic development and poverty reduction.

• National joint committees and regional joint committee set up
• Corridor performance measurement and monitoring system established
• Single-window scheme adopted and functioning effectively
• Public and private partnership opportunities developed to promote Integrated trade facilitation
• CFCFA established and its functions improved
• CFCFA membership expanded to include representatives of all CAREC member countries
• Corridor performance measurement and monitoring database expanded
• Knowledge products developed
