ADB helps inaugurate new power distribution network in southwest Kabul The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Afghanistan inaugurated a new power distribution network, which will help provide efficient and reliable electricity to around 200,000 people, who previously did not have access to electricity, in the southwest of Kabul.

ADB provides $260 million to expand power transmission network in Pakistan The agreement is part of the Second Power Transmission Enhancement Investment Program aimed to improve coverage, reliability, transparency, and quality of the power transmission service in Pakistan by expanding the 220-kilovolt transmission network in Sindh and Balochistan provinces, and upgrading the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and revenue metering systems (RMS) in the country.
