CAREC National Road Safety Engineering Workshop (Uzbekistan)

The interactive workshop featured practical trainings in blackspot investigation and road safety audit. Participants include representatives from various transport agencies, including the State Directorate of Road Traffic Safety, and road authorities in charge of planning, construction, design, and maintenance of roads.

CAREC National Road Safety Engineering Workshop (Kyrgyz Republic)

Over 30 representatives from government, academia, and civil society attended the workshop. Participants investigated high crash frequency sites and visited a road project to practice road safety audit.

17th CAREC Ministerial Conference

This year’s ministerial conference focused on expanding regional trade and promoting economic diversification. CAREC ministers unanimously endorsed the CAREC Integrated Trade Agenda (CITA) 2030 and its Rolling Strategic Action Plan (RSAP) 2018–2030.

Consultation Meeting with CAREC National Focal Points (2018)

CAREC national focal points discussed the implementation progress of CAREC 2030, in preparation for the 17th Ministerial Conference on CAREC to be held in Ashgabat.

CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting (June 2018)

Senior government officials of the 11 CAREC countries and representatives of multilateral development partners reviewed the progress made to date on the implementation of the CAREC 2030 strategy.

17th CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting

The meeting reviewed the implementation progress of the Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy 2020 and the Transport Sector Work Plan (2017–2019), discussed issues of key importance to the transport sector, and examined new opportunities for the transport sector under CAREC 2030.
