Concrete steps for the implementation of the economic corridor were agreed in a government protocol and reported to the Prime Minister’s Kazakhstan–Kyrgyz Republic Intergovernmental Council.

Second Workshop on CAREC Advanced Transit System and CAREC Customs Information Common Exchange

The meeting of the CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee (CCC) agreed to pilot the CAREC Advanced Transit System and the CAREC Customs Information Common Exchange, support the implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement in CAREC countries, and the formulation of the new Trade Facilitation Strategic Framework.

Eighth CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarders Associations Meeting

The meeting presented to the CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations (CFCFA) members recommended standards in the implementation and documentation of for business management of carriers, transport equipment, contracting carriers, and freight forwarders in cross-border logistics (transit) and transport in the CAREC region.

CAREC Regional Road Safety Workshop

The regional workshop is organized by CAREC Institute and the Asian Development Bank, and hosted by the Government of Tajikistan. The workshop has the overall goal of accelerating the implementation of the strategy, with a focus on actions relating to "safer roads," through use of road safety engineering principles and practices.

CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations Regional Knowledge Sharing Forum

The forum aimed to provide an opportunity for the private sector to interact with each other and share their practical experience and knowledge in various areas of trade operations.
