Power Transmission Enhancement Project

The objective of the technical assistance (TA) is to review and update the existing pre-feasibility study for a proposed energy investment project, including due diligence review and updated feasibility study with detailed assessment in the financial and economic analysis, social and environmental assessment in line with ADB's guidelines.

CAREC Transport Corridor 1 (Bishkek–Torugart Road)

The outcome of the TA will be the agreed design and feasibility study that will make the Project suitable for ADB financing as well as Kazakhstan national standards and regulations.

Reconstruction of Taraz–Talas–Suusamyr Road, Phase 2

The second phase of the project will reconstruct 199 kilometers of the Taraz–Talas Suusamyr Road.

Western Regional Road Corridor Development Project, Phase 1

The Western Regional Road Corridor will span nearly 750 kilometers and become part of the Asian Highway Network. The first phase of the project will improve the Yarant–Hovd city road, create road maintenance units, improve road safety, and provide skills training.

500 Kv Transmission Line Sukhan – Guzar and Substations

The project will construct a 500 kV overhead transmission line between Guzar and Surkhan substations.

CAREC Border Trade Study

The study on cross-border trade was commissioned by CAREC and endorsed by ministers of CAREC member countries.The World Bank designed the project and hired national teams of experts to conduct surveys of cross-border trading conditions on the territories of People’s Republic of China, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Tajikistan.
