Capacity Development of Selected Developing Member Countries on the Implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the WTO
Summary
The technical assistance (TA) is the last of the four World Trade Organization (WTO)-related capacity development programs launched by the Asian Development Bank at the request of the Government of Japan.
Expected Outcome
The TA intended to provide the developing member countries (DMCs) with a clear understanding of the contents of the agreement, in particular, the obligations of customs administrations under the agreement, to equip the DMCs and their customs administrations with the necessary knowledge and skills. This was to be accomplished through a series of intensive courses on the three aspects of implementation of trade facilitation.
