10th CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting

Transport sector representatives attended the meeting to review progress in implementing the CAREC Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy and its Action Plan, discuss and endorse medium-term priority transport projects, and agree on the proposed midterm review of the Strategy and Implementation Action Plan (CAREC Corridors Review).

10th CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee Meeting

The CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee (CCC) held its 10th Annual Meeting to update senior customs officials in the 10 participating countries on progress in the priority areas for customs cooperation and facilitate sharing of lessons learned in implementing projects.

Consultation Meeting with the CAREC National Focal Points (2011)

CAREC national focal points from all 10 countries met and discussed the 10th Ministerial Conference on CAREC preparations, the CAREC Institute work plan, and cross-border transport facilitation initiatives.

CAREC Training Workshop on Modernization of Customs Management

The training combined classroom lectures, case studies, and on-site learning. It also provided opportunities for cross-country experience sharing on these subjects.

Meeting on CAREC Cross-Border Transport Agreement Implementation Action Plan

Senior officials of the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan, together with representatives from Afghanistan and the Asian Development Bank will meet to finalize national action plans of the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan for the implementation of the Cross-Border Transport Agreement (CBTA).
