CAREC Senior Officials' Meeting (November 2011)

Senior government officials of the 10 CAREC countries, together with multilateral institution partners, discussed items for the consideration of the 10th Ministerial Conference, including

• the final draft of the CAREC 2020 Strategic Framework,
• the medium-term priority projects list,
• sector progress reports,
• CAREC Institute work plan, and
• other matters, including the new CAREC Program website.

Three expert resource persons shared international experience on economic corridor development, making presentations on the Pan-European corridor, the Maputo Corridor in Africa, and the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Participants received a final briefing on other Ministerial Conference events, and finalized their Joint Ministerial Statement.
