Forum on TIR Customs Transit System Promotion of bilateral transit arrangements and PRC's accession to the TIR Convention are two priorities of the CAREC's Trade Facilitation program.
CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting (October 2005) Participants (i) reviewed the progress in the areas of transport, energy, trade policy, and trade facilitation; (ii) discussed updates in regional business roundtable and preparation of a Comprehensive Action Plan; (iii) briefed on UNDP Central Asia Human Development Report; (iv) endorsed key messages for Ministers; and (v) reviewed arrangements for the Fourth Ministerial Conference in CAREC.
Fourth CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee Meeting The meeting focused on deliberation on the priority areas of the CAREC's Trade Facilitation Program and discussion on the strategy to broaden the Trade Facilitation agenda.
Seminar on Trade Facilitation and One-Stop Service The seminar promoted modern customs practices and supported the joint customs control pilot project of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Seminar on Risk Management and Post-Entry Audit The seminar was co-sponsored by the General Administration of PRC Customs and is part of ADB's ongoing support for the Regional Trade Facilitation and Customs Cooperation Program (RTFCCP) for East and Central Asia.

Forum on Trade Facilitation and Customs Modernization The forum, co-sponsored by ADB and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), supported the training initiatives endorsed by the Customs Cooperation Committee (CCC).
Third CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee Meeting CCC members adopted a joint statement to strengthen regional customs cooperation and witnessed the signing of an Agreement on Customs Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Services between Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Workshop on Risk Management and Customs Intelligence The workshop was the first of the series of in-country training workshop on risk management sponsored by ADB and was a part of its ongoing support for the regional customs cooperation program for East and Central Asia.
Third CAREC Ministerial Conference High-level government delegations representing the CAREC member countries—Azerbaijan, the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan—attended the conference.
