Second Highway Project, Second Additional Financing

Summary

The second additional financing scales up the project to include

• rehabilitation of 116 kilometers (km) of the Hajigabul–Bahramtapa Highway (M6) and 200 km of local roads connecting rural areas to the M6 road, and
• provision of technical assistance for project implementation and the design of future investments.

Expected Outcome

The second additional financing will promote regional economic development and poverty reduction by reducing road transport costs and improving access, transit, and road safety.
