CAREC Countries Continue Working Together to Improve Regional Transport Connectivity

The 20th Transport Sector Coordinating Committee (TSCC) meeting was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 24-25 May 2023. The meeting was attended by representatives from CAREC member countries and development partners.

The meeting reviewed knowledge products completed under the CAREC Transport Strategy 2030, which outlines a vision for a more integrated and efficient regional transport network. The meeting discussed achievements and challenges in all transport pillars under the CAREC Transport Strategy 2030 such as railways, road asset management, road safety, cross-border transport and logistics, and aviation. Countries and development partners shared information about their priority projects and initiatives. Following discussions, the meeting identified key priorities for 2023-2024.
