Third CAREC Railway Working Group Meeting

Representatives from railway agencies of 11 CAREC member countries and development partners convened to agree on practical steps needed to implement the CAREC regional railway strategy.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) Georgia Resident Mission Country Director Yesim Elhan-Kayalar welcomed the participants to the workshop, chaired by Tajikistan and hosted by Georgia.

Participants discussed issues and prospects regarding the future of railway development in the region, including priority investments in key rail corridors.
