CAREC Innovation Network: Introductory Session with the Eco-System Partners

On 15th June, the CAREC Secretariat held the inaugural meeting for the CAREC Innovation Network (CIN). The CIN aims to promote the startup ecosystem in the CAREC region by connecting key entrepreneurial ecosystem builders across the region. The virtual onboarding meeting brought together more than 30 ecosystem partners from 8 CAREC member countries.

During the session, Mr. Saad Abdullah Paracha, CAREC Unit, Head, provided an overview of the CAREC Program and its digitalization initiatives under the Digital Strategy 2030. CIN members took part in a series of networking rounds and an open floor discussion where they shared their respective strengths, which they bring to the network and the support they require to overcome the challenges they face. The CIN members were invited to present their country’s ecosystems at the CAREC Digital Curtain Raiser, which will also include the official launch of the CIN, on 30th June 2022. These presentations are intended to provide visibility to the various country level ecosystems which the CIN aims to connect, as part of developing the overall CAREC startup ecosystem.
