Second Regional Workshop on Trilateral Economic Corridor Development
The second regional workshop on economic corridor development among Shymkent (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Khujand (Tajikistan) cities, and their surrounding oblasts (STKEC) was jointly organized virtually with the Government of Kazakhstan, with Asian Development Bank (ADB) support.
Vice Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade and CAREC National Focal Point for Uzbekistan Shukhrat Vafaev and Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda joined more than 100 participants and deliberated on the road map and implementation plans for the STKEC.
Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev and ADB Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division (CWRC) Director Safdar Parvez delivered welcome remarks and highlighted the role of the STKEC in restoring economic growth in the post-COVID era.
