CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations Board Members Standards Review Meeting

The meeting facilitated the presentation and open discussion of the 10 CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations (CFCFA) recommended standards, which aim to pursue the adoption of international best practices in transport and logistics, and to enhance professionalism and efficiency among its members.

These standards also aim to unify, improve, and simplify national, regional, and international regulatory documents and procedures to improve transport and trade.

A consultant’s review and assessment of these proposed standards was also presented in the meeting.

  • Basic elements of carrier liability insurance
  • Basic elements of international freight forwarder liability insurance
  • Requirement on container consolidation services of international freight forwarders
  • International freight forwarders standard trading conditions
  • Code of contract of international freight forwarder
  • Coding rules for carrier identifier
  • Coding rules for documents identifier
  • Radio Frequency ID (RFID) Tag Application Criteria for Pallet Units
