CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations Executive Board and Annual Meeting (July 2010)
The annual meeting (i) reviewed progress of the CFCFA and approved its work plan for 2010-2011, (ii) identified priority projects that will promote private sector participation in CAREC activities, and (iii) discussed priority courses for upgrading capacities of the associations.
The federation brings together the major road carrier and freight forwarder associations from the eight CAREC members to discuss impediments to the cross-border flow of goods and people and to take steps as a group to address these challenges. It also serves as a functional link with the governments so that the public and private sectors can cooperate with each other in crafting solutions to the numerous and complex problems that obstruct the secure and steady flow of trade.
