First CAREC Capital Market Regulators Forum
Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) organized the first CAREC Capital Market Regulators Forum in Islamabad, Pakistan to discuss access to finance reforms and private sector development through strengthened regional cooperation and integration of capital markets.
ADB Vice-President Shixin Chen addressed the forum along with Pakistan’s Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Pakistan’s Minister for Economic Affairs and ADB Governor Muhammad Hammad Azhar, and SECP chairman Aamir Ali Khan. Senior officials from all CAREC member countries and business leaders will participate in several panel sessions.
