CAREC Corridors 2, 5, and 6 Road Project (Dushanbe–Kurgonteppa) Road Project
Summary:The project preparatory technical assistance (PPTA) from the Asian Development Bank will help identify, formulate, and prepare a loan and/or grant for a 20 kilometer section of the Dushanbe to Kurgonteppa road, which forms part of CAREC corridors 2, 5 and 6.

The PPTA will assess the technical, economic, financial, social, and environmental viability of the project and prepare required due diligence documents.

Expected Outcome:The project will improve road safety through provision of funding for safe urban areas, and will strengthen road asset management through the provision of a road asset management system for the Ministry of Transport.
Expected Outputs:The main outcome is a feasibility study covering the entire corridor between Dushanbe and Kurgonteppa. The feasibility study will study sectioning of the road.
